4. J. Cole – Born Sinner (TBA)
After releasing his debut studio album in 2011 (Cole World: The Sideline Story), all eyes have been on J. Cole. The Roc Nation act’s debut was strong and since then we’ve been waiting for the next chapter in his “sideline story”. 2012 was quiet for Cole, but he announced that his sophomore effort would be dropping sometime this year. Two singles have been released: “Miss America” and “Power Trip”. “Miss America” didn’t receive the radio rotation that it was expected to, so it’s considered a promotional single with “Power Trip” being the official lead single. “Power Trip” had people talking about the new album more than “Miss America” had, so it looks like it’s full steam ahead for Born Sinner.
