9. 50 Cent – Street King Immortal (Second Quarter)
The last time we got a 50 Cent album was back in 2009 when the New York native released Before I Self Destruct. Since then, Fifty has been focusing on business ventures such as the SK Energy products and his audio technology brand, SMS Audio. Ongoing battles with record label Interscope and other factors have derailed the release of his fifth studio album Street King Immortal but it looks like we might finally get it by the summer. The singles, “New Day” and “My Life” weren’t exactly his best work and definitely sounded a lot more commercial than we were used to hearing from the 37 year-old, but we’re still holding out hope for this project.
