On the final evening of the year, Ryan Seacrest will bring ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve to millions of viewers worldwide. However, he will not have to handle everything alone. Throughout the night, the network will bring a star-studded lineup of musicians to the stage, including Carrie Underwood, Tinashe, Teddy Swims, Lenny Kravitz, Rita Ora, Blake Shelton, Kesha Cody Johnson and Thomas Rhett. Not to mention, DJ Cassidy will host a special edition of Pass The Mic! Live featuring Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh, Ernest, HARDY, Kesha, Laufey, Natasha Bedingfield, and T-Pain.
“I have such fun memories of performing on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I’m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year. I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning American Idol by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year’s Eve in Times Square,” Underwood said.
ABC’s year-ending special has consistently served as one of ABC’s most watched programs. In 2023, the first primetime segment of the special “skyrocketed” over last year’s broadcast by 35% in Total Viewers, according to the network. Similarly, the second primetime segment of the New Year’s Eve special last year outpaced the prior year’s special by 30% in total viewers.
“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024 stood as the evening’s No. 1 most social program across all of TV and was the No. 1 driver of social video consumption on the night. In addition, this year’s broadcast grew its video views count by 20% over last year,” the network stated.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025 will air live on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
