With that announcement came the release of the buzz-single, ‘Party Favors,’ which gives a dose of Urban flavor and features Young Thug. Now, as she’s ready to officially get things started, Tinashe has premiered her brand new single, ‘Player.’ featuring none other than Chris Brown.
‘Player’ sees Tinashe shifting over into new territory. The record perfectly straddles the fence of Pop and R&B and seemingly blends the two genres as Tinashe finds her new niche. Declaring, “So you better stay up, player, yeah, you better keep up, player,” Tinashe makes it clear what she wants and how she wants it on the instantly catchy record. Not to be left out, the tune sees Chris Brown trading in the vocals in exchange for rapping as he lets it be known that he doesn’t want any other chicks. The record rounds out as the duo join together for the final chorus to send listeners off. For sure, Tinashe is off to a strong start for her second studio album.
