Throughout 2016, we have heard a decent amount of new material from Tinashe, but a body of work has not been delivered. Announcing her sophomore studio album, Joyride, several months ago, fans have been eagerly awaiting the album’s release. Most recently releasing her dance-floor ready single, ‘Superlove,’ things are looking to take a more darker turn as Tinashe is gearing up for the release of a new project, Nightride.
In a Snapchat posting from the The Fader, the pleasantly packaged box contains an iPod that features new music from the singer. In what is now a deleted upload, another upload shared included tracks that are apart of her new Nightride (styled as Nightr1de) body of work. While information regarding the project seems to be very tight-lipped, could this be a new mixtape that features records that did not make the cut for Joyride? It wouldn’t be too strange to also think that these tracks may also feature a more darker tone in comparison to what could be heard on her second studio album. For now, keep your eyes and ears locked on all things Tinashe as new sounds are headed our way. Also, check out the tentative tracklist.
