LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews, Will Barton and Dorell Wright joined the long list of players like Derrick Rose, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant by wearing a black t-shirt with “I Can’t Breathe” in white letters in response to a grand jury not issuing an indictment in the death of Eric Garner, who died after being choked by a New York police officer back in July.

LeBron James did it against the Brooklyn Nets.

Kobe Bryant did it against the Sacramento Kings.

Derrick Rose did it against the Golden State Warriors.

Lillard had the shirts shipped to Minnesota, and they met the team here after they played in Detroit on Tuesday. They wore them during the national anthem and introductions as well.

Andrew Wiggins had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the Portland Trail Blazers with a 90-82 home victory.

Corey Brewer had 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the T-wolves, who snapped a six-game losing streak and won for just the third time since Ricky Rubio went out with an injured ankle on Nov. 7. Thaddeus Young had 13 points with 5 rebounds and Zach LaVine had 10 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Shabazz Muhammad came off the bench to score 11 points and grab 6 rebounds.

The Timberwolves were without Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin and Mo Williams.

Damian Lillard had 23 points and 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Trail Blazers. But LaMarcus Aldridge managed just 10 points on 3-for-14 shooting and Portland turned the ball over 20 times while shooting 38.8 percent. Wesley Matthews had 18 points for the Blazers.

The Blazers scored 16 points in the second quarter and 15 in the third, their 2 lowest outputs in a quarter this season and lost for just the second time in 16 games. T-Wolves outrebounded Portland 56-38 to overcome 4 key players being out.

Minnesota Timberwolves are 5-16. Portland Trail Blazers are 17-5.
