The NBA Draft is only weeks away and the Minnesota Timberwolves have the 5th pick in the 1st round, which is a useful asset for a youthful team like the Wolves. With the core of Wiggins, Towns, Deng, Lavine and Rubio, they’re looking to build around what is already a team filled with potential. At the 5th pick, newly hired President and Coach Tom Thibodeau will have a lot of options.
According to ProBasketball reporter David Pick, the Timberwolves will take Croatian Forward Dragan Bender:

Bender is expected to get drafted in the top 5 picks of the draft, and the Celtics and Suns have both shown interest in the 19-year-old versatile big man. The only thing is that the Wolves don’t necessarily need another big at this point, and might be best off drafting a guard like Kris Dunn or Jamal Murray to help at the point position. That being said if Bender slips to the 5th pick, Bender is too good of a prospect to miss out at that point.
