TikTok is launching a new initiative that will allow users to connect with employers through the app. Through the “#CareerTok” pilot program, users can upload videos showing off their career skills in a creative way. Once users upload the video and use the hashtag, #TikTokResumes, companies like Target, Chipotle, Shopify, Meredith, NASCAR and the WWE can dive through the submissions to find a new generation of talent.
“#CareerTok is already a thriving subculture on the platform and we can’t wait to see how the community embraces TikTok Resumes and helps to reimagine recruiting and job discovery,” TikTok Global Head of Marketing Nick Tran told Tech Crunch.
Young content creators interested in learning more about the program can check out the program’s standalone site, www.tiktokresumes.com. The new program is set to run through July 31.
