
Rapper T.I. is dusting off his acting bag to lead in upcoming film detailing narratives surrounding the Flint Mich. Water crisis.
According to Deadline, the movie stars both T.I. and John Ortiz. Malcolm M. Mays wrote and directs the film, with support from Overbrook Entertainment, the production company founded by Will Smith. The late John Singleton, Caleeb Pinkett, James Lassiter, T.I. and Brian Sher all have executive production credits
The film, simply titled Flint chronicles a murder mystery involving a spiritually reformed ex-convict, his ex-lover and young mentee that coincidentally takes place during the height of the Flint water crisis damaging his community.
