On a night in which the Sacramento Kings honored Peja Stojakovic and retired his number, the Oklahoma City Thunder came in and ruined the fun for the Kings fans behind 58 points from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, winning 104-92.
Russell Westbrook had 32 points and 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, Kevin Durant scored 26 points and Anthony Morrow came off the bench for 10 points.
The Kings played their first game since Mike Malone was fired as coach and lead assistant Tyrone Corbin was promoted to the head job.
Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and general manager Pete D’Alessandro made the change about Malone citing philosophical differences.
Rudy Gay scored 22 points with 6 rebounds, Ben McLemore scored 10 points and they were the lone 2 starters to score in double figures. Reserve big man, Carl Landry, added 14 points and Ramon Sessions joined him off the bench to score 11 points.
The Kings also had the highlight of the night when Gay dunked over renowned shot-blocker Serge Ibaka.

Oklahoma City, after the loss by the Warriors, now have the longest active winning streak in the NBA at 7 games. They are 7-1 since Durant returned from his fractured foot injury.
