If there were any two movies that Marvel could ever make that’ll need every character in their possession, Civil War and Infinity War would be the two. With Civil War just under a month away from being released, anticipation for the film is at an all time high. Thanks to the likes of Black Panther and Spider-Man, this will be the first time new major characters in the Marvel universe will be added to the Avengers. With that being said, today the Russo Bros have decided to reveal something bigger, something fans have been wondering about for awhile; Who will be in Avengers: Infinity War?
“The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done,” Anthony Russo told Comicbook.com. “[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited,” he said, teasing Pratt and Star-Lord’s presence in Infinity War.
“I’m excited to work with Thor,” Joe Russo says. “They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”
With Thor and Star-Lord set to be in the film, the long awaited Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy team up is finally going to happen. Infinity War brings the Marvel Universe together to bring down the villain, so expect more character announcements as we get closer to 2018.
Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are set for release May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.
