Just when you think it’s safe to say that there’s probably not many more records The Weeknd can break or set, his music goes and proves us wrong. Not even a month since the release of his latest album, Beauty Behind The Madness, the singer has showed the industry that he’s currently a dominant force to be reckoned with. Previously topping the charts with his brand new album and ‘Can’t Feel My Face‘, the ‘Prisoner’ singer’s music is still the talk of the town as it continues to help set records for Abel. According to Billboard, as of this week, The Weeknd has become the first solo male act to simultaneously reign at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200, and Billboard Artist 100. We will also not fail to mention that the single currently holds the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 with his singles ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘The Hills’.
As The Weeknd is the top musical act in the U.S. again, logging a sixth cumulative week at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Sept. 26), he tops the list thanks to his domination on the Billboard Hot 100, with his smash single “Can’t Feel My Face,” and the Billboard 200 with his album Beauty Behind the Madness. Dating to the Artist 100’s July 2014 launch, The Weeknd is the first solo male to top the Artist 100, Hot 100 and Billboard 200 in the same week.
Without a doubt, this comes as nothing but great news for the singer. In just a matter of months, monstrous amounts of success has been thrown his way and from the looks of things, there will be even more good news on the horizon. Heading out on tour this Fall, these accomplishments go to show that the people will support the music and artists they love.
