They’re back! The Predator is on the hunt in its new trailer. The 2018 installment of the Predator series will feature a kid in the suburbs who accidentally triggers the return of alien life when he finds a piece of their technology. As a result, the world binds together to defend their home planet from a hostile alien takeover.
The trailer begins on Halloween night with the boy opening up a package with what appears to be a piece of alien technology. Instead of leaving the unknown item in the package, the boy does what most kids would do and plays with it until activates. Alien life then shows up to get their stuff back and possibly collect a new planet in the process. From there, chaos ensues.
The film will be directed by Shane Black who appeared in the first Predator film back in 1987. Previously, Black directed films like Iron Man 3 and Lethal Weapon. Black also co-wrote the film with the help of Fred Dekker who is best known for his work on 1980’s films like Night of the Creeps and The Monster Squad. Most notably, the film features a star-studded cast of Sterling K. Brown, Keegan Michael-Key, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski.
The 20th Century Fox film will hit theaters on September 14th.
