After months of anticipation, Amazon has announced that The Boys will return June 3. Season three of the superhero drama will debut with five new episodes. In the following weeks, one episode will be released each week until the season finale premieres on July 8.
Led by show runner Eric Kripke, season three will star Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty and Dominique McElligott. Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia and Craig Rosenberg will also return to executive produce the series.
“The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about ‘The Seven’ and their formidable Vought backing,” the show’s description reads.
