The late battle rapper Tech 9 faced child pornography charges ahead of his death. Details of the case arise, noting the arraignment scheduled to take place the day following his passing now, will no longer happen.
Victor Fiorillo of Philadelphia Magazine reports that Tech 9, born Akhiym Mickens, faced charges including possession of child pornography, indecent assault, indecent exposure and corruption of minors. The affidavit filed in the case lists a young girl as complainant. The minor details gross allegations against Mickens.
“The girl told investigators that Mickens repeatedly demanded that she take her clothes off in front of him and that he would then masturbate in front of her. On one occasion, she alleged, Mickens forced his way into her bedroom with a knife and tried to get her to touch his penis.” reports Fiorillo.
An official cause in the death of Tech 9 not yet released as the coroner awaits toxicology reports. Currently, fans call for “Tech Day” in his honor.
