In today’s landscape, a remix often means that artist bring in another artist or so over the beat. However often, a band of artists flip things up and deliver an entirely new beat with a new feel. This weekend, Tame Impala and 070 Shake delivered “Guilty Conscience” over an entirely new beat. Offering their own feel to the record, Tame Impala’s production gives an airy feeling to 070 Shake’s lead single.
“Five A.M. when I walked in/Could not believe what I saw, yeah/You were on another one’s body/Ghosts of the past came to haunt me/I caught you but you never caught me/I was sitting here waiting on karma/There goes my guilty conscience,” 070 Shake sings.
070 Shake continues to move forward with one of the most underrated projects of the year, Modus Vivendi. Check out the remix to “Guilty Conscience” above.
