Symba is currently celebrating the release of his new Gangsta Grillz project with DJ Drama, Results Take Time. While promoting the project, the Bay Area native stopped at a number of radio stations, including Shade 45 and Hot 97. During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, the Results Take Time rapper told Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy that he believes he will appear in a major comedy special as well.
“I saw Dave Chappelle showing you a lot of love,” Angela Yee commented.
“That’s my guy. Dave actually brought me on stage. He had me rapping for like 10 minutes on one of his specials. I think it’s supposed to come out soon,” he added.
As the interview unfolded, Symba also touched upon his relationship with the popular comedian.
“How did you meet Dave?” Charlamagne Tha God asked.
“I’ve got a friend named B who I know through my other homie and he works with Dave a lot. He sent Dave one of my freestyles and Dave had a [film] premiere in Los Angeles. Dave said, ‘Tell Symba to come. Tell that n*gga to pull up.’ So, I came through. We had a good night. We had a few drinks and then he went to the Comedy Store to do a private show. I’m just sitting o the side of the stage and he’s like, ‘Symba! N*gga, come up here and rap!’ So, I went up there and rapped for like 10 minutes. It was dope. Shoutout to Dave,” he explained.
Following The Breakfast Club interview, Symba caught up with Joyner Lucas. The two rappers are set to embark on the ADHD Tour this fall.
