The Oklahoma City Thunder might have lost Kevin Durant over the summer but the team is looking to keep their remaining stars in-house.
Over the summer, OKC agreed to a contract extension with star point guard Russell Westbrook to keep him in town for a little longer. Now it appears they’re ready to keep potential star big man Steven Adams on the team for an extra four seasons.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and center Steven Adams are finalizing a four-year, $100 million contract extension, league sources told The Vertical.
The deal cements Adams, 23, as a Thunder franchise cornerstone along with All-Star guard Russell Westbrook.
As part of the NBA’s 2013 draft Class, the extension keeps Adams out of restricted free agency next summer.
For his career, the 23 year old Adams is averaging 6.3 points and 6 rebounds but through three games this season, he’s averaging 13 points and nine rebounds. Adams, a native of New Zealand and product of the University of Pittsburgh, has established himself as one of the best young centers in the league. He’s a fun guy who has a chance to really develop alongside Russell Westbrook and Victor Oladipo as a great big man in the league.
