Stephen Amell, known to CW fans as Oliver Queen, released a new trailer for season 4 of Arrow on Facebook, and it’s the first revealing peek at what’s to come in this next chapter of the show.
As we know, Oliver rode off into the sunset with Felicity. That much is shown in the trailer as they seem to be enjoying a happy life. Clearly that doesn’t last long, because we see the Arrow return to what is now Star City. That’s right, the city’s name was changed in honor of Ray Palmer’s death (which as we know is only a phase until he re-appears on the Legends of Tomorrow spin-off).
With the Arrow technically dead, we’re likely about to see Oliver transition into the Green Arrow character, who is the traditional character in DC Comics. We’re also about to see new character dynamics, with Diggle stepping into a more formal hero role (he even has some kind of costume), Thea in full crime-fighting swing, and anticipated new villain Damien Darhk. Also worth noting is a cameo from Constantine who’s jumping over from NBC, and also Caity Lotz as Sara, who is also slated for Legends of Tomorrow with the “deceased” Ray Palmer.
A big transitional season for Arrow begins when season four premieres on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 PM EST on The CW.
