The Clippers struggled without their star point guard Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Chris Paul is out 3-5 weeks due to a separated shoulder he suffered in the Clipper’s last game.
Jamal Crawford and Blake Griffin will look to lead the Clippers in Paul’s absence. Crawford finished with 24pts and 7ast, while Griffin added 19pts and 7reb. Besides those two, the Clippers did not receive much help across the board. The Spurs were led by their two big men: Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter. Duncan added 19pts and 11reb, while Splitter tallied 22pts.
The Clippers looked unstructured and very unstable without their floor general on the court. Look for Griffin and Crawford to expand their roles, especially in the scoring department, and for Collison to take over the PG position.
