Spotify has announced the launch of their new morning show, The Get Up, with hosts Kat Lazo, Speedy Morman and Xavier Jernigan. Together, the trio will deliver a hybrid format of morning news and the latest music.
“Spotify is truly bringing a unique listening experience to the world with The Get Up. It’s a style that’s fresh and provides a fun alternative to the current audio landscape. Nowhere else do you get a morning talk show with personalized music catered to you,” Morman said.

Prior to hosting Get Up, Lazo worked with the emerging media brand, Mitu. Meanwhile, Morman is best known for his work hosting various shows on Complex. Lastly, Jernigan made his name as the head of editorial at Spotify.
“I’m excited for folks to get to know me and my cohosts, because the dynamic we have is so genuine. We’re bringing the same energy we have in our personal group chat to the mic,” Lazo said.
The Get Up will post new episodes every weekday at 7 a.m. ET.
