Announced earlier this year that something as in the works with the two, Sony officially announces its venture with Spotify. Upon all users turning on their Playstion 4’s and 3’s, the new ‘Playstation Music’ will be automatically downloaded to the respective console. Whether playstation users have a PS Plus or a Spotify account or not, they will still be able to use Playstation Music for free, but will have to deal with advertisement and a lower ‘quality’ sound.
With ‘Playstation Music’ users will be able to create their own playlist and listen to them while playing a game, which will replace the in-game soundtrack. If you do choose to play your custom soundtracks while gaming, the dialogue of said game will not be affected in anyway. There will also be a mini-menu for PS Music if you hold down the PS Button so you wont have to go back into the app to change/play/stop your music.
Sony will will be following up consoles receiving Playstation Music as it will makes its way to Sony Xperia phones soon.
