Marvel and Sony finally dropped the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home on Tuesday, giving fans their first look at the ‘post-snap’ MCU. Speaking of that infamous snap, Peter Parker is definitely in this movie but there are no hints to his role in Avengers: Endgame or even how he was brought back to life after Infinity War. Fans also got their first look at Jake Gyllenhaal in action as longtime Spidey villain, Mysterio.
Check out the full trailer below:
The trailer shows Peter as he goes on a summer trip to Europe with his classmates. Leaving his suit at home, he plans on taking the summer off from being Spider-Man but, Nick Fury shows up and changes those plans. Fury recruits Peter for a mission abroad but he won’t be fighting alone as Fury also apparently recruits Mysterio for this mission.
From there, most of the trailer is just a montage of various actions sequences from the film. The major setpiece of the trailer shows Mysterio and a suitless Peter fight Hydro-Man as he terrorizes a European river walk. We also see Peter swinging around in a couple new suits, one of which just seems like an updated version of the one he wore in Homecoming. However, the other is much more exciting, its the very first live-action portrayal of Spider-Man’s stealth suit.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters worldwide on July 5, 2019.
