The TCU Horned Frogs and Head Coach Sonny Dykes have agreed to a deal that includes a raise and an extension. This comes after this season where he led the program to the 2022-23 College Football Playoffs. The deal extends his contract through the 2028 season which adds a year to his original deal. It will make him one of the top-paid coaches in the Big 12 according to reports about the new contract. While the team did not capture the Big 12 Championship this year they did clinch the three seed in the College Football Playoffs after a spectacular season.

This was Sonny Dykes first season as the Head Coach of the TCU Horned Frogs and in that season the team has a 12-1 record and a 9-0 Big 12 record in regular season pay. After the team clinched a spot in the College Football Playoffs, the program had seen enough to further secure their new Head Coach. It would be hard to argue with the result he has achieved in his first season with the program. Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs will take on the Michigan Wolverines in the semifinals on December 31st in the Fiesta Bowl a four p.m. EST.
