Showtime Sports has unveiled the highly-anticipated trailer for Andre Ward’s forthcoming documentary, S.O.G: The Book of Ward. Executive produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, the film explores the ups and downs of the Oakland native’s careers while also highlighting his upbringing in the Bay Area.
“From executive producers, Lebron James & Maverick Carter, the documentary examines undefeated, five-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist, Andre Ward. [He] reveals in a deeply personal account his journey from a turbulent childhood in Oakland, Calif., through the pressures of world championship expectations and ultimately to his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame last June,” the film’s logline reads.
S.O.G: The Book of Ward is set to debut on Showtime on June 2, 2023. Until then, check out the trailer below.
