The Super Bowl is still a few days away, but the event’s halftime show performers are already in game shape. Leading the way, Mary J. Blige has delivered her fourteenth studio album, Good Morning Gorgeous. Complete with contributions from Anderson .Paak and Usher, the project is sure to bring out the best in the legendary singer. Not far behind Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg has also shared some big news.
On Wednesday afternoon, a burst of good news flooded through the world of Hip-Hop when Snoop Dogg acquired the rights to Death Row Records. Thirty years after its founding, the legendary west coast artist is preparing to bring the iconic label into the future with his expertise.
“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me,” Snoop Dogg told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality.”
To celebrate this achievement, Snoop Dogg has shared a new album called B.O.D.R. Filled with many of the G-funk influences that made the California native a star, Bacc On Death Row is the perfect soundtrack for the iconic rapper as he prepares for one of the biggest moments in his career.
