“I’m actually looking for somebody that can embody the spirit when I was that young, rough-around-the-edges [man] trying to discover who I was,” he told the outlet’s reporter, Kevin Frazier.
This won’t be the first time that Snoop Dogg is portrayed by an actor. In the past, LaKeith Stanfield played the role of the legendary artist in Straight Outta Compton. Actor Jarrett Ellis was also cast as Snoop Dogg in the Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me.
When Snoop Dogg isn’t helping cast his biopic, he can be found working for NBC during the Olympics, appearing on The Voice or working on a new album with Dr. Dre. In short, he’s a busy man.
“I ain’t sleeping right now. I need to be in bed,” he joked with Frazier.
