Michael B. Jordan stars as Snoh Aalegra’s love interest in the “Whoa” video. Shot in Berlin, the video shows the couple in the middle of the street, the bedroom and the bathtub. All throughout, the two share a chemistry that jumps off the screen.
She sings, “I’ma tell you this one time/Boy, I want you to be mine/Can I come and see you now?”
Later, she adds, “Nothin’ like when we lock eyes/I look away from time to time/All I see is you right now/Just wanna lay with you all night.”
“Whoa” is one of the standouts on Aalegra’s breakout album, Ugh, those feels again. Released in August, the album premiered in the top 75 albums on the Billboard 200 during its opening week. Despite its critical acclaim, it did not receive any Grammy nominations.
