As Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox has been saying, this year will be a huge year for Xbox One. In the upcoming weeks, Xbox One users will be able to ditch their cable providers for Sling TV which is only going for $20 a month. Sling TV is a streaming service that is backed by DISH network. Sling will have Videos-On-Demand, live sports, family channels, news and more. A few channels already involved are: ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel. This is surely a good deal and it is exclusive to the Xbox One.
Below are a few words from Xbox marketing corporate Vice President, Mike Nichols.
We’re thrilled to partner with Sling TV as they bring this exciting new service to life, and we look forward to launching the Sling TV app on Xbox One in early 2015 as the first gaming console where the service is available,” said Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President, Marketing for Xbox. “We’re committed to bringing great entertainment options to gamers and our relationship with Sling TV is an important milestone in that journey and in offering more choices to our Xbox fans.
