Shelvin Mack spent the last season and a half with the Utah Jazz after the Atlanta Hawks dealt him out of town. There were championship contenders interested in trading for him but nothing ever came out of it. As the Utah Jazz turn the reigns of their point guard role to newly acquired Ricky Rubio and continue to develop Dante Exum, Mack became expendable.
He elected to join a team in need of some veteran guard leadership and the Orlando Magic are reportedly the place he will spend the next two seasons. Mack has signed a two-year pact with Orlando worth $12 million.
