Shea Whigham has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agent Carter.
The Boardwalk Empire star will play the chief of the Strategic Scientific Reserve according to Deadline.
Whigham’s character will oversee Peggy Carter, as well as Agents Jack Thompson [Chad Michael Murray] and Daniel Sousa [Enver Gjokaj].
The spinoff series is set in 1946, with Peggy trying to cope with the loss of Steve Rogers while finding herself cast to the side when the men return from World War II.
Agent Carter will air on ABC in 2015.
