Curry is coming off an uneven performance while in Portland. The 28-year-old averaged only 7.9 points but still had great averages shooting 45% from three-point range. It was with the Mavericks in 2016 that was his most notable. He averaged 12.8 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from three.
Adding Curry back to the lineup should be seamless for the Dallas Mavericks. Not only is he a great shooter to pair with NBA Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic, but he also could be a pick and roll partner with newly added Kristaps Porzingis.
Seth Curry was the third-best 3-point shooter last season (45.0%) but he was also in the 92nd percentile as a pnr ball handler. limited possessions, of course, but he's a capable secondary creator when needed.

With Dallas sending a few first-round picks to New York in the deal for Porzingis, the Mavericks are all in for getting themselves back into the playoffs. They will hope the moves being made will bring them back to the postseason for the first time since the 2015-2016 season.
