When sectiontoo says he’s the one, he means it.
On Monday, October 20, 2025, New York’s own sectiontoo set the tone for a jam-packed week of new music with his single and video, “Famous.” The dynamic duo of Will Fisher and Sean “sectiontoo” Lawrence hasn’t missed this year, and “Famous” is no different. The two-minute track is a furious, bass-knocking gem that is elevated to exciting heights with sectiontoo’s clever writing.
“Let me spell it out for you. [I’m] the first, second, and the third. [I’m] Gucci Mane with the words,” he opens the first verse. “[She’s] a little nervous on the first link. By the second one, she’s sturdy.”
Following the release of his previous single, “KiSS,” “Famous” also seemingly shares a few similarities with its predecessor. While the songs are different in their messaging, they are similar in that they can be read in multiple ways. At its surface, “KiSS” can be read as a song about passionate, romantic connection in nature, but as the New York native explained, it can also be read as cherishing the emotional bond you have with close friends. “Famous” follows in that set-up as it can be heard as a song in which an emerging artist is bragging and popping their s—t, but it can also be heard as an artist saying money is just paper. Visually, “KiSS” drew on inspiration from classics like Love Jones and ATL, while “Famous” also reaches into the past to find direction from Slick Rick, 2000s Pharrell, and others.
With “Main Ingredient,” “Closer 2 U,” “KiSS” and “Famous” under his belt, sectiontoo has cemented his case as one of the artists everyone should be watching in 2026. Don’t believe me? Check out the “Famous” video below.
