The Atlanta Falcons have hired former Chicago Bears General Manager Ryan Pace to be a senior personal executive for the franchise. He did not stay unemployed long despite a rocky and unsuccessful career with the Chicago Bears as their General Manager. He was fired earlier this offseason when the Chicago Bears decided to clean house inside the organization. The Falcons are hoping to rebuild and get back to winning more football games. Hiring Pace in the front office is an interesting move.

Former #Bears GM Ryan Pace has joined the Atlanta Falcons as a senior personnel executive under GM Terry Fontenot. Pace and Fontenot worked together in New Orleans. The #Bears’ last two GMs are now senior personnel executives with the Falcons, as Phil Emery is there too.

The Chicago Bears had very few bright moments under the leadership of General Manager Ryan Pace. He served in the position from 2015 until the end of this past season before the Chicago Bears fired him. Oddly enough he was awarded the Sporting News Executive of the Year Award in 2018. Before going to Chicago he spent 2001 to 2014 in various roles with the New Orleans Saints.
Ryan Pace has a chance to restart his career with a struggling Atlanta Falcons organization and his expertise before being General Manager was in the area of scouting talent. Perhaps his voice along with others can help begin to turn around a franchise that was embarrassed in a Super Bowl just a few years ago. Atlanta has shaped up their front office, but now a major decision looms with quarterback Matt Ryan set to be the largest cap hit in the NFL this season.
