Free agent center Ryan Hollins has inked a deal overseas in Spain with Gran Canaria, the team announced on Monday via Twitter.
Hollins has spent his past ten seasons in the NBA, holding career-averages of 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 11.8 minutes per game.
Hollins, 32, most recently played for the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in 37 total games with the team during the latter part of last season. Throughout that span, he averaged 3.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 12.4 minutes per contest. The club eventually chose to part ways with Hollins in April, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Hollins, a 7-foot UCLA product who was taken No. 50 overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, heads overseas for the first time in his professional basketball career.
He’s played for a plethora of teams during his time in the NBA, making stops with the Bobcats, Mavericks, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Celtics, Clippers, Kings, Wizards and Grizzlies.
Hollins has scored 1,913 points, grabbed 1,140 rebounds, and blocked 271 shots in 518 games in the league. He was a part of the United States national team at the 2015 Pan American Games, a team that would later move on and win the Bronze medal.
