Pau Gasol must look at photos of him and Phil Jackson and go “Ah those were the days.”
These days, Pau Gasol is doing everything he can possibly do in an offense that doesn’t cater to his skills, the occasional injuries and disrespected by the Lakers front office in terms of job security. I mean people are calling his brother the number one Gasol now! Imagine if I said that 5 years ago.
So now with Jackson in charge of the Knicks, people are talking Pau Gasol possibly moving to the Knicks.
I’m not going to bat this away, I can certainly see this happening. If you read this post on Yahoo! Sports Pau is pretty confident he ain’t going to play for the Lakers next season.
I didn’t know if I was going to be traded. That has been kind of a theme for the last three years. But this year that possibility is out of the question. Now it’s because I will be in charge of my future, my destiny and I have to listen to the different possibilities that I will have on the table.
So if Jackson wants to implement the triangle. Steve Kerr and Pau Gasol? If those two happen, that’s a good foundation to the rebuild process.
