Rudy Gay is on the move again, for the second year in a row. Last year, Gay was traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Toronto Raptors. Today, the Raptors have agreed to trade Gay to the Sacramento Kings; the trade involves seven players in total. It has been reported to finalize on Monday, December 9th. The Kings will send John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, and Chuck Hayes in return for Rudy Gay, Aaron Gray, and Quincy Acy. The trade had to involve so many players to accommodate for Rudy Gay’s salary this season, which is about $17 million. Gay will be paired up with Derrick Williams, the new addition from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and DeMarcus Cousins, the Kings’ star center. The projected starting lineup for the Kings would be: Isaiah Thomas (PG), Ben McLemore (SG), Rudy Gay (SF), Jason Thompson (PF), DeMarcus Cousins (C).
