New York is preparing for an exciting string of releases this summer. Joey Bada$$ is gearing up to release his first new album in five years while Don Q readies Corleone. Not to mention, Nas and Hit-Boy have hinted at the release of King’s Disease III and A Boogie is readying the release of his next LP. Now, it appears that another New York star is nearing the release of his latest project.
Rowdy Rebel has wasted no time getting back to music. Over the last year, the Brooklyn native has worked with Nav and Funkmaster Flex while also dropping records like “Rowdy vs. Rebel” and “9 Bridge” featuring A Boogie and Bobby Shmurda. This week, he returned yet again with the “Woo Nina” video.
“Every time I pop out with my gang, I’m like, ‘Who strapped?’/If that car pass this block one more time, I’m like, ‘Boom that’/I told D-Wade, ‘Take a flight when it got hot,’ then a n*gga flew back,” Rowdy Rebel raps over Ara Beats and Luca Beats’ production.
Rowdy Rebel doesn’t seem to have missed a beat and he’s en route to a strong album release in the near future. Check out the “Woo Nina” video below.
