Designer and KITH founder Ronnie Fieg debuted his KITH Sport Collection Thursday during New York Fashion Week, with special guests LeBron James and Scottie Pippen modeling sneakers from Fieg’s collaboration with Nike.
Fieg had collaborated with Nike before, but what has been released from the newest installment has been much more ambitious. On Sept. 4, Fieg posted a picture on Twitter of the Air Maestro II, first worn by Scottie Pippen for the 1994 NBA All Star Game.
Waited my entire life for this opportunity. Thursday night, the world will see what the team has been working on for the last year. pic.twitter.com/Mp6n318Qzy

The sneaker has been done in an all purple colorway, which seems to be a nod to Pippen’s alma mater, the University of Central Arkansas. No additional details have been released on a potential retail date. The purple Air Maestro II didn’t make an appearance on the runway Thursday night.
What did show up was a wild sneaker colorway worn by Scottie Pippen, who walked the runway for the KITH and Nike collaboration Thursday evening. This sneaker comes with leopard and tiger patterns along the upper section. It also has black laces, a white sole, and a black leather heel tab.
A collaboration with KITH and LeBron James had been in the works and was finally unveiled. James closed the show wearing the 15th edition of his signature sneaker.
