The Houston Rockets have been fairly quiet this off-season. Other than retaining Patrick Beverley, Corey Brewer and drafting Sam Dekker. Now they want to secure another wing player in K.J McDaniels.
According to Calvin Watkins of ESPN:
Rockets want to use $5.4 mil MLE on KJ McDaniels are in talks with him. McDaniels has a strong offer from 1 other team. No offer sheet yet.

With that being said, the other team could be proposing another situation, where K.J McDaniels will actually see minutes. With Dekker, Brewer, and Ariza, McDaniels abilities aren’t really needed. Either way he is a young rookie prospect that shined on a disappointing youthful lineup for the Sixers. He can jump out of the gym and is aggressive, which the Rockets wouldn’t mind. Could he be the back up plan if Sam Dekker flops? The Rockets have other worries in my opinion. Everyone in the Western Conference has gotten better, while they lost Josh Smith and still don’t have a point-guard that can facilitate.
