Robin Hood has invited Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter to speak at an upcoming conference for Wall Street executives. Event organizers have told CNBC that Cart will discuss his business career, recent investments and how he uses data to make important decisions.
“We are especially excited to welcome Jay-Z, one of the greatest entrepreneurs of his generation, to speak at the conference. He exemplifies the visionary, cutting-edge investor that shares our stage each year to provide expert insights while supporting the measurable and sustainable programs Robin Hood operates to elevate New Yorkers out of poverty,” Blue Ridge Capital Founder John Griffing told CNBC.
The conference will take place virtually during the third week of June. Hosted by the Robin Hood Foundation, the conference will also feature star investors like David Tepper and Ray Dalio. Ultimately, the foundation, which ironically works to battle poverty, hopes to use the conference to raise money for its various causes. Over the last four years, the conference has raised over $20 million. Carter’s remarks could attract more attendees and possibly lead to more donations.
