Yes, it is true that all good things must come to an end. With that said, goodbyes don’t become any easier to deliver or receive. Just ask any fan of Riverdale how they feel about the show’s impending end after seven dramatic installments. In fact, Riverdale star KJ Apa recently let Deadline know how hard it will be to say goodbye to the show later this year.
“I’m sad to be saying goodbye to Riverdale next season, to our sets, to our crew, to our producers, to our CW family but I can speak for everyone, for Cammy, Cole, Lili and the rest of our cast that we are so grateful for everyone’s support,” he said, according to Deadline.
“To the fans, without the fans, none of this would be be possible.”
During CW’s recent presentation, Apa didn’t reveal too much about the show’s ending, but he did say that it would go out “with a bang.” CW CEO Mark Pedowitz also noted that the show would not be rushed toward its end. Rather, the show’s final installment will include a full season’s worth of episodes.
“I can’t say I’d miss dying my hair every week, I’m looking forward to being myself again, but I promise you guys, this last season, we are going to end it with a bang, and we can’t wait to share it with you,” Apa commented, according to Deadline.
“It certainly has been one hell of a ride,” Pedowitz added, according to Deadline.
Apa will join co-stars Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse when the show returns later this year. Are you ready for the final season of Riverdale?
