In true Pop star fashion, the past few months have been Rihanna overload. Not too long ago, almost everyone was completely left in the dark in regards to just when and/or how Rihanna’s eighth studio album, ANTI, would be released to the world. Merely being 3 weeks into 2016, Rihanna got straight to the point and released the body of work that many people found themselves anticipating for the past few years. Now, as the singer has kicked off the “ANTI World Tour” with Travis Scott, and dominates airwaves with her chart-topping single, ‘Work,’ Rihanna finds herself back on top with her latest LP.
Rihanna’s Anti moves back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, collecting its second week at the top. The diva’s set earned another 54,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 17, according to Nielsen Music.
As if that weren’t enough, that means Rihanna simultaneously holds the No. 1 single and album in the country. Simply put, the people love themselves some Rihanna. Looking ahead, there’s definitely more where that comes from as the singer preps ‘Needed Me’ as the second single from ANTI, with an accompanying music video that will have everyone talking once again.
