It’s August, but it’s also VMAs season. Being one of the most anticipated award shows in music, MTV’s Video Music Awards always brings out the who’s who in music as many fans await to see if their favorite artists take home an award. If you’re Rihanna, you’re more than familiar with the VMAs and winning, along with performing at the award show. What will be a first for the singer is that she is set to receive MTV’s Video Vanguard Award that celebrates her visual contributions to the music industry. Some recent recipients of the Video Vanguard Award include Beyonce and Justin Timberlake.

A true honor, Rihanna is surely more deserving now than any point of her career. With so much already accomplished in 2016, it only goes up for the Barbados beauty.
