Fresh off being named the new face of Dior, it has been announced that Rihanna will be headlining the March Madness Music Festival. The festival, which will take place in Indianapolis, will also see the likes of Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, and others take to the festival stage to deliver performances. A few weeks back, Rihanna’s new track, ‘American Oxygen’, was premiered in the March Madness commercial and it was revealed that the track would be official theme song for this year’s tournament.
Rihanna’s performance this year, along with the inclusion of “American Oxygen,” dovetails into the release of her upcoming album. Although she has not announced a date yet, the record’s executive producer, Kanye West, has confirmed that another recently released song will appear on the LP: “FourFiveSeconds,” which also features Paul McCartney and West. Speculation has also run rampant recently that Rihanna and West will tour together this year, following Live Nation posting and deleting an equal-billed concert in Tallinn, Estonia slated for July.
With several announcements being revealed, in which Rihanna is attached, it’s only certain to think that an announcement regarding “R8” is on the horizon. The March Madness Festival will take place between April 3rd – April 5th. For fans that are unable to attend, the performances will be live-streamed via NCAA’s website. Are you excited? Let us know!
