Could things be off to a shaky start for Rihanna’s upcoming world tour? Less than a month ago, Rihanna flipped the script and debuted new material in a way that was unusual compared to her previous 7 eras of music. Dropping her 8th studio album, ANTI, without any prior warning, Rihanna sent a silent but loud message that said that the music should speak for itself and that no promotional campaign leading up to the new album was needed. Several weeks before we received the LP, the singer went forth to announced the accompanying “ANTI World Tour” that would see the singer stopping in several cities across the world. Now, as tickets have been available to purchase for some time now, it appears that Rihanna and her team need a bit more time to perfect the tour that will take place in front of thousands across the world.
According to Billboard, Rihanna has pushed back the opening dates of her new world tour. The cause for the postponement stems from production delays that have ultimately forced the singer to set new dates for the first few dates of the tour as everything will not be finished on time. Now, instead of kicking off next week, the tour will start on March 12th in Jacksonville, Florida. With a subtle theme of this era being about perfection being delivered to fans, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Rihanna wants everything to be just right when it comes time to hit the road.
