Rick Ross is entering the 16th year of his legendary career and he still has a lot more to give the world of music. This weekend, the Miami native is celebrating the release of his 11th studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been. Complete with 10 tracks, his newest album features 21 Savage, Wale, Benny The Butcher, Future, Yungeen Ace and BLXST. The project also features veteran vocalists and songwriters like Jazmine Sullivan and The Dream.
“Really, I feel this is the best album I’ve ever done. I make progress every day. I feel like some of the stuff I’m saying on this album is really going to separate it from others,” Rick Ross said about his new album, according to NME.
Rick Ross has big plans for the new year as well. He recently said that he hopes to put his mixtape, Rich Forever, on streaming services in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
“I remember being over in London on tour, and I had released the album before that project, and I had put Rich Forever together in like three months,” he told Billboard editor Carl Lamarre about the release of the mixtape.
“I called Def Jam and told them I’m ready to drop another project, and they were like ‘Calm down, you tripping.’ I’m like, ‘Nah, f*ck that I ain’t calming down. I got this heat done.’ I basically gave them another call a week later saying ‘Are y’all ready or y’all not?’ They were moving slow so I just dropped the whole mixtape with everyone on the project.”
While we wait for Rich Forever to hit streaming services, check out his 11th studio album below.
