First of all YES and secondly AMEN. Finally Nicki Minaj is tapping into the brashness and cockiness that was last heard on her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape. Although we got a little crudeness on last year’s Roman’s Revenge featuring Eminem, we can all surely agree that Roman’s Revenge sounds like a St. Mary’s Catholic School for Girls-lullaby when pitted against Roman In Moscow.
So what is Roman In Moscow exactly? It is definitely not radio friendly and I’m sure that Dora The Explorer doesn’t have this tune on her iPod. With Roman In Moscow Nicki Minaj does exactly what she’s good at: she ridicules, boasts and spits a rap-rhyme scheme brilliance that will make several established rappers takeout their notepads. She simply reminds us why there is NO female rapper that can currently compete with her and why she is able to swim with her male counterparts. With her rap alter-ego, Roman Zolanski, and a Sarom and Street Runner produced beat, Nicki Minaj sets the tone for what is to come in 2012: MADNESS.Y’all want the full roman?
