A report from Bloomberg has indicated that Twitter has had discussions about acquiring Clubhouse. At this time, it is unclear where the talks stand. Both social media companies have not commented on this report from Bloomberg.
Clubhouse is one of the fastest rising social media platforms in the world. Over the last year, the invitation-only platform has brought in a number of stars including Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Mark Zuckerberg. Most recently, the company was valued at approximately $4 billion.
The audio-only platform has inspired other companies to build out similar features. Most notably, Twitter has formed there audio-only feature, Spaces. Facebook is also building out a similar add-on.
