There is just 2 months left until NBA training camp starts again. Between the NBA draft, free agency and the Olympics, is there really even an NBA offseason? Although the NBA seasons is approaching fast, the NBA has changed a lot since last season. With salary caps going up, Kevin Durant shaking up the NBA’s power rankings and whispers of a lockout coming soon, this NBA season is set to be very entertaining. With the NBA schedule set to be released soon, sources report that the Warriors and Cavaliers are already set to play on Christmas day in Cleveland. Per Marc Stein of ESPN:
Sources say the centerpiece of the league’s annual Christmas Day schedule, meanwhile, is a rematch of the NBA Finals and a repeat of the Warriors-Cleveland Cavaliers showdown from last Christmas.
But this Dec. 25 meeting, sources say, is scheduled to happen in Cleveland, allowing the reigning champion Cavaliers to spend the holiday at home. Last Christmas, Golden State was the home team as reigning champs.
If the sources are right, this news just makes you more excited for the NBA season to start. Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and their new Warriors team against the champion Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James. Stein also reported that Durant will return to Oklahoma City for the first time since becoming the villain of the NBA on February 11th. That should be an exciting game. But then again, Golden State Warriors games will be must watch TV, forget basketball. With an all-star roster and a reputation of liking to lose, the eyes are on the Golden State Warriors.
